Other set details

Darkness Ablaze is made up of cards from the Japanese sets S2a Eruption Walker (70 cards, releases 24 April 2020), S3 Infinity Zone (100 cards, releases 5 June 2020), and the new cards from the (Sc) Charizard VMAX and (Sc) Grimmsnarl VMAX Starter Decks (41 total cards, 14 new), with a few additional cards coming from the new V Starter Decks.

The Japanese sets that make up what will have become our Darkness Ablaze contain more Pokémon V and more Pokémon VMAX than the official set description. As such, four Pokémon V were cut from Darkness Ablaze, as were 2 Pokémon VMAX. The following Pokémon have been confirmed to be cut from the set: Galarian Cursola V, Grapploct V, Gardevoir V, Gardevoir VMAX, Drednaw V, and Drednaw VMAX.
